[box]It’s the land of Lychnobites – the land where people work during nights and sleep during the day. Jeevanjyoti Chakraborty tells you more about the place, with a dash of poetry. Read on.[/box]For kids certainly no place it is.
Neither for adults – mostly, that is.
Fear no sentinels, for none there is,
But can you just heed my warning please?
Perish the bravest could easily here;
Follow their cue, who have known to fare.
Remember, small steps taken with care
Slowly and surely will get you there.
When time it is for good boys to sleep,
Fruits of night, we shall begin to reap.
Trenches, my brothers we’ll cut so deep,
They’ll give History memories to keep!
Console, keyboard or pen in your hand,
Do come and join this glorious band.
Night larks of world united we stand!
Welcome you all to lychnobite land!
With crazy, weird – names they deplore,
For, know they not what things we explore.
Against threats, I can only implore –
They too were “crazy” who’re now folklore!
With morning sleep, you’ll come to your own
For nature knows to exact her loan.
Though Ulysses heard the Sirens’ moan,
He never forgot his distant throne.
