A well-told tale is a family
Where cameo parts offer to the plot
Just as much as title roles do;
And where the parts narrate
The whole in different voices.
A well-woven tapestry is a family
Where the colour of each thread
Is weaved, flush, into its context;
And the traits of all threads
Become the nature of the fabric.
A well-composed tune is a family
Where every chord, in its due place,
Vies never with others for pride;
And where different rhythmic waves
Ebb and flow, at different times.
A well-cooked meal is a family
Where every half ounce of a spice
Alters the flavour of the dish;
And where the focus of love
Issues as the fragrance of food.
A well-painted ego is a family
Where memories and dreams meet
In the slipstreams of action;
And where all deeds emerge
From the brushstrokes of thoughts and aims.
…
A human family, in its way, has
The mind of a well-told tale,
The heart of a well-woven tapestry,
The soul of a well-composed tune,
And, when split, the atomic spices of life;
As its individual egos attempt
To identify with the fam’I’liar.
